The Timeless Shoe: Dolce & Gabbanna

The shoe,  a phenomenon most of us, women especially, are very familiar with. There are all sorts and shapes and sizes, all kinds of colours and concepts and all kinds of types and themes. Now, the timeless type of shoe is one of my favourites. As a big fashion lover, I appreciate items I can wear for a long time, if not forever. This saves me money -well, not really since I always end up buying new timeless items- and gives me more fun with the item in the long run! Timeless shoes are also very versatile, as they pair with almost any type of outfit! For example, these high heeled loafers by Dolce & Gabbana that I absolutely adore.

In this photo I paired the shoes with a simple yet chic pair of silver trousers by Reiko. The fabric is very unique and beautiful, as it isn’t made of jeans fabric, but out of a thin, almost silk-like kind of fabric. It’s very soft and silky to the touch, which gives it a very luxurious and expensive feel! To add a bit of an edge to it, I wrapped a chain strap around my ankle.

Other times, I love pairing these shoes with a simple, sporty pair of boyfriend jeans. I love how it creates a contrast against the feminine and chic shoes! It;s a combination you wouldn’t expect, but really works. In other, more formal, occasions the shoes go great with a short and simple dress, preferably in a cream or brown colour. Adding an elegant, thin gold necklace and/or bracelet would make the preppy and chic look complete.
Let me know in the comments below what you would pair these shoes with, and thanks for reading!
